What is the Centre10 Advanced Coaches Programme?

Our APEC (Applied Psychology for Equestrian Coaches) Advanced Programme has been designed to help equestrian coaches and professionals maximise the psychological potential of their riders.

Giving you access to world-class speakers, coaches and subject experts this pioneering 6-month programme will give you the knowledge, skills and inspiration to help your clients (and business) excel.

The programme kicks off with 3 days residential training in Bath. The rest of the 6 months involves weekly online content which is completely flexible around your schedule. We recommend you set aside 1.5 hours per week for this content.  We also have a midway 'live' session on Zoom - where we catch up and you have the opportunity to ask any questions you have.  The final part of the course is an in-person workshop where we summarise the content and celebrate your graduation!  All in person days are compulsory as they are essential to complete the course.

"This programme is phenomenal. It has transformed my riders and transformed my business."

"Centre10 gives you the tools to stand out from the crowd. You can be so much more than just another coach."

We typically run our Advanced Programme once a year in the Autumn

You can now apply for our autumn 2024 course!

The initial workshop dates are Monday 7th October - Wednesday 9th October 2024 inclusive, these three days are compulsory to attend.

You're in good hands

The programme has been designed by top performance psychologists and is led by Charlie Unwin

Charlie has worked with multiple Olympic champions across a range of different sports. Charlie is particularly passionate about equestrian sport and has worked with grassroots to international teams across all disciplines.

Throughout the six-month programme the Centre10 team will support you in developing a thorough understanding of the most powerful ways to build psychological resilience in your riders. We will also establish a toolkit to give you the confidence to actually apply these techniques in and out of the saddle.

Who is eligible?

Quality means a lot to us, but we recognise that this isn't simply about your existing qualifications. We are therefore looking for coaches who have already achieved a minimum level of UKCC Level 3 or equivalent, but more importantly we are looking for coaches who are open-minded, community spirited, ambitious in their own coaching practice and with a strong desire to learn and apply new skills.

We also welcome equestrian professionals (eg. physiotherapists, judges, owners, yard managers or grooms, etc.) who are interested in how performance psychology could help them in their profession.

We don't want the application process to be scary! It simply helps us to ensure that the programme is the right fit for you.

Did you know?
We also have a 12-week Foundation Programme which is delivered entirely online. Anyone is welcome to do it, and if you successfully apply for the Advanced Programme at a later date you will be refunded the full course fee!
