Are your "Super Strengths" actually holding you back?
Feb 23, 2026We all have a "go-to" way of thinking. Perhaps you are naturally highly intuitive, or maybe you are a stickler for the facts and data. These are your Super Strengths. However, any strength, when overdone or used in the wrong situation, can become a weakness.
As a Centre10 coach, being aware of how you think is just as important as what you think. We recently introduced our members to the Decision-Making Map, a tool designed to help coaches move through different "modes" of thinking to reach the most effective conclusion.
Sometimes, we make assumptions based on "experience" without checking the current facts. Other times, we get stuck in "analysis paralysis" and fail to listen to our intuition. Our members use this map to discover their own cognitive biases. For example, if your strength is "Clarifying Facts," you might struggle when a situation requires a "Visionary" leap. The map helps you "press pause" and expand your options from a non-judgemental perspective.
